Sky Go

I can understand why, but it's quite annoying that I couldn't watch Sky Sports on my Nexus 7 when I was in Spain. After all, I'm using my Sky credentials on one of (up to) 4 devices that I've already registered with them. I managed to trick it into loading so far by configuring my Nexus 7 to use one of my UK proxies, but when it came to streaming it got stuck saying "Loading". I suspect I could have made it work if I'd configured a VPN, but I was so tired from traveling that I fell asleep.

It was fine for playing downloaded content (as I have Sky Go Extra), which had been downloaded from the UK before we left, but I suspect the live streams will only work in the UK or with a UK based VPN as it uses a protocol that doesn't get pushed through the HTTP proxy. This is annoying. It's bad enough that Sky Go only allows a limited number of devices to be registered at a time, and bad enough that you don't support the Nexus 10 (I can understand the root detection, but that is also very annoying), and that most features appear on iOS first, and you don't always support the latest versions of Android for months. Please be a little bit more flexible.

Until then, I'll configure a VPN proxy before I leave the country again. Just in case.
