So I finally have the Nexus 4, 7 and 10. That's quite impressive when you consider how much I usually love Microsoft.
Pros:
Pros:
- Nexus 4 lets me use the apps I've already bought for my old Samsung Galaxy Nexus
- Nexus 4 can be rooted to install all sorts of cool things (unlike Windows Phone 8)
- Nexus 7 isn't ridiculously locked into Amazon's services (unlike Kindle Fire HD)
- Nexus 7 lets me use the apps I've already bought for my SGN and N4
- Nexus 10 is considerably cheaper than the Surface Pro
- Nexus 10 is more readily available than the Surface Pro
- Nexus 10 lets me use the apps I've already bought for my SGN/N4/N7
- Nexus 10 appears to have a much better battery life than the Surface Pro
- They don't support Flash (officially) - I guess some people would consider this a con
- They don't run Windows software (but I do have a decent Remote Desktop client, with multi-touch support)
- Wireless connection doesn't seem to be as quick as I'd expect, even the 5GHz 802.11n on the Nexus 10!
- The SkyGo app doesn't support the Nexus 10 (or my [temporary un]rooted Nexus 4)
- The BBC iPlayer app is the mobile website in Chrome, and it won't let me request the desktop site (HD streams?)
- Matroska support is limited, especially 1080p files with DTS audio (BS Player seems to cope best)
