How Big's Your Hard Disk?

all i need is a nano

I have so many computers, I can't give you a single answer, but the smallest is 120GB (laptop). My fileserver only has an 80GB drive, but it also has a couple of large RAID5 arrays. No, I'm not making up for any inadequacies! :P

No comment!! :p

I need more hard disk space myself. But then I also need to somehow stop Vista from crashing, and then I need a new graphics card and....

At least I can boast that I use a big car more effectively than you! I got clobbered by a BMW this morning and the only saving grace to all this stress is that the woman didn't even bother trying to fob off the culpability as my case was so strong. She was quite an attractive girl to crash into, clever too as a doctor no less. Sadly her choice of car let her down (BMW convertible which she bought 3 days ago!)

I have no idea how you manage to make your systems crash, especially Vista x64, which I found to be notoriously stable.

Bad luck on the BMW incident. I suspect she's either got a boyfriend or (more likely) is a workaholic (or both?) ;)

I am not sure why Vista is being slightly iffy. Originally it was probably because of Daemon Tools (which I uninstalled), but it still does the occasional application crash (mainly when I am playing games). I have the sneaky suspicion that it is graphics related, maybe the next ATI update will resolve it as my mate Talanzar sounds like he is having a similar problem with an x850 in XP. Otherwise, as you say, Vista has been pretty good.

On a more frustrating note, someone at work is selling off an AMD 4600 X2 (Antec case and PSU, 2gb ram, 7600 graphics, 80gb HDD) for £150 and I am hopping mad as it would make a good fileserver, but I don't feel I can afford it this side of New Year. By the time I finish flogging off all the parts I don't want, the final cost of an upgrade would come to about £50! Maybe use the credit card...?

The girl was probably a doctor doing long hours and with insufficient sleep! She is bound to have a bf or even to be married. Plus not the most romantic way to meet someone! ;)
