What percentage of UK men have had more than one sexual partner in the past 12 months? It's 12%, according to the Office for National Statistics.

I am not going to say anything incriminating here! However, I question any statistics that might have asked a man such a question in front of their partners...

I think I've found their source, although it says 13%: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/CCI/nugget.asp?ID=411

Thirteen per cent of men aged 16-69 had multiple sex partners compared with 9 per cent of women aged 16-49.

For both sexes, multiple sexual partners were most common among those aged below 25. Over a third of men aged under 25, a fifth of women aged 16 to 19 and a quarter of women aged 20 to 24 reported having more than one sexual partner in the previous year. Men and women aged 25 to 49 were most likely to have only one sexual partner and also least likely to have none.

Among adults that were married or cohabiting, 5 per cent of men and 1 per cent of women had not had a sexual partner in the last year.

MTV and Online Testing Exchange did a survey in 2004 and discovered that the average number of sexual partners that respondents reported having over the past six months is 1.73 - the average number for males is 1.93 compared to 1.50 reported by females.
